Bruce founded BMC in 1984. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education. He has been actively participating in music education, both public and private since 1972. Through his unique perspective, he has been able to create an organization that places a strong emphasis on the needs of the student musician. Bruce’s background includes more than 30 years of musical instrument repair and rebuilding. He is a strong advocate for the benefits of music in education. Bruce’s main instrument is the trumpet and he is proficient in nearly all the instruments offered in the store. His experience as a public school teacher has been invaluable in the development and direction of BMC.
“Music is such an important part of our lives. We are exposed to it from the moment we are born until the moment we pass away. We use it while we get ready in the morning, to change our mood, to get ready for sports, to help us to relax and much more. A stronger appreciation of music enhances our lives each and every day.”
Dana is in charge of the sheet music and gift inventory at BMC, as well as maintaining the level of professional, friendly customer service you have come to expect from BMC. Over the last 30 years, she has been involved in customer service and has developed a strong background in both corporate and small business environments. Through her expertise in printed music and product knowledge, she adds a valuable dimension to BMC. Dana is a member of RPMDA (Retail Print Music Dealers Association) and maintains close relationships with all the major music publishers. She is the person to call on if you are looking for print music assistance, and if she doesn’t know the answer she knows who to ask. Dana also coordinates special projects for BMC. She is the one to speak to if you want a special musically themed party for your child or are looking for that musically themed gift. Many of the local public and private music educators find her an invaluable resource.
“I love seeing how far our former students have gone in their lives. We have students that have become research scientists helping to cure diseases and others who are professional musicians and everything in between.”

Jessica began her career with BMC in 2002. She has been an instructor and an educational consultant, and after a brief move to Charlotte, NC, has returned to the store as the Director of Sales and School Services. Jessica is responsible for all contact with schools at BMC, inside and outside sales, and in-store marketing. Jessica began playing the clarinet in 1991 and has since become accomplished in all woodwind instruments as well as piano. When she’s not visiting local schools or re-arranging the store, Jessica enjoys singing with her church choir, playing and singing with Crosstown band, and traveling. She is happiest when sharing her love of music with all of her customers and educators!
Albert joined the BMC team in 2008 as an instructor and has since become a member of the sales team. He is responsible for web maintenance and marketing, along with in-store sales and floor design. On the sales team, Albert is considered the fretted-instrument expert. As far as the IT is concerned, Albert is the computer-whiz behind servicing the store's computers, maintaining the website, and creating digital graphics for BMC. His enthusiasm and sense of humor make him an entertaining, yet knowledgeable member of the staff. In his spare time, he plays on his guitars, ukulele, and charango; leads a (small) pack of huskies; and enjoys training in mixed martial arts.
Sarah joined the BMC team in 2009. She is the lesson coordinator and one of our piano instructors, as well as a member of the School Services division. Her responsibilities include managing the weekly lesson schedule, working with BMC teachers to develop and promote exciting summer group programs (check them out on our website: http://www.musiclessons-musicschool.com/programs.htm), visiting local schools to coordinate with music teachers, doing some instrument repair, and teaching piano to her awesome students! Sarah started playing the piano when she was 7, and she also plays tenor saxophone and sings. She loves being a part of the music community, and her future goals are to continue playing, teaching, and learning music for as long as possible!
Randy has been part of the BMC team as a guitar teacher since 2008. In 2015 he joined the store staff as the new lesson coordinator. Randy is responsible for working with parents, students, and teachers to make sure that BMC's lesson programs are always the best in the area. Randy first began playing guitar at the age of 14, and after a few years of study decided to make it his career focus. He has since become proficient in bass, banjo, ukulele, and drums as well. Randy attended Western Connecticut State University, where he earned a BA in Music with a focus on classical guitar. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, being a labradad, writing music, and playing all over New England with his original rock band, Forget Paris.

"Thank you so much for fixing my student’s flute yesterday. I really didn’t expect an on-the-spot repair, and apologize for even mentioning the possibility. As I stood there, it became clear it me that you had a very full plate of responsibility yesterday afternoon. Most people would not have been able to extend the time and attention you provided me with absolutely no notice. I just wanted to let you know that I deeply appreciate this". - Richard Wyton, Band Director, Cider Mill School Wilton, CT
“I have found Bethel Music to be tops in repairs and service. I have worked with them for over 14 years. Great service and quality equipment.” - Tom Miner, Band Director
