~ The slide will sound/feel better with time. The brass slide stockings help lap the slide as its played.o Because of the self lapping, especially when first purchased, players will need to clean the slide stockings regularly to get any of the plastic residue off.
~ No slide oil is required, but the inventors do recommend Rapid Comfort.
~ If mutes are used, players should watch twisting them into position. This can crack the bell or loosen the seam of the instrument.
