Rachel Sloane is currently a student at Western Connecticut State University earning her Bachelor of Science in Music Education. Her primary instrument is violin, but she also plays piano, cello, viola, and sings classical and other genres of music. Rachel plays violin in the WCSU Orchestra and Chamber Strings groups. She also sings alto in the WCSU Chamber Singers and University Choir. Rachel has played violin in the pit for the opera, “Elixir of Love” at WCSU. She is excited to get to know and bond with every student she encounters and she cannot wait to share her knowledge and love for music with everyone.

Learn the fundamentals, from keeping a basic, steady tempo, to playing the lead violin in an ensemble. Maybe you always wanted to learn to play violin but never had the time. Learning to play the cello will develop problem solving skills, discipline, and self expression.
